WHY THIS PRIVACY POLICY?

The purpose of this Policy is to inform Customers, Suppliers, and Employees of the general rules governing the processing of personal data, which is collected and processed in strict compliance with the provisions of the personal data protection legislation in force at any given time, namely Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of April 27, 2016 (“GDPR”).

Practiline Lda. adheres to best practices in the field of security and personal data protection, having taken the necessary technical and organizational measures to comply with the GDPR and ensure that the processing of personal data is lawful, fair, transparent, and limited to authorized purposes.

Practiline, Lda. is committed to the protection and confidentiality of personal data and has adopted the measures it deems appropriate to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality of personal data, as well as all other rights to which the respective data subjects are entitled.

WHAT DOES THIS DATA PROTECTION POLICY COVER?

This Data Protection Policy applies exclusively to the collection and processing of personal data for which Practiline, Lda. is the data controller, in connection with the services and products provided to its Customers/Users and in all situations where Practiline, Lda. processes personal data. The information provided by the Customer/Supplier/Employee will become part of Practiline, Lda.’s database and is protected under the terms and for the purposes of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of April 27, 2016, and the Personal Data Protection Act. The data entered is confidential, intended for electronic processing, and will never be disclosed to third parties, whether free of charge or for commercial purposes, without the prior consent of the data subject.

WHAT IS PERSONAL DATA?

Personal data means any information, regardless of its form or medium, including sound and images, relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. An identifiable person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identification number or to one or more factors specific to their physical, physiological, mental, economic, cultural, or social identity.

Data Controller

Practiline, Lda. is responsible for the collection and processing of customers’ personal data, pursuant to Article 3(d) of Law No. 67/98 of October 26. It is up to the company to determine, in the context of providing services to customers, what personal data is collected, the methods used to process such data, and the purposes for which it is used.

Retention Period for Personal Data

Practiline, Lda. will retain the personal data of Customers/Suppliers/Employees only for the period of time strictly necessary to enable:

a) the provision of the Service(s);

b) compliance with the legal obligations to which Practiline, Lda. is subject;

c) the pursuit of the purposes of collection and/or processing;

d) the exercise of Customers’ rights and the fulfillment of corresponding obligations. In cases where the National Commission for the Protection of Personal Data (CNPD) authorizes the retention of Customers’ personal data for periods exceeding the term of the service agreement, given the specific purpose of the processing in question, the Customer will be promptly and duly informed of said purpose and the retention period in question.

After the retention/storage period has elapsed, as set forth above, Customers’ personal data will be permanently deleted by
Practiline, Lda.

Customer Rights Regarding Their Personal Data

In accordance with the provisions of the Personal Data Protection Law, Customers, Suppliers, Employees, and others, in their capacity as data subjects, are guaranteed the right to access, update, correct, and delete their personal data free of charge.
